Is Twitter worth four billion dollars?

A staggering 25 billion tweets occurred during the past year. During this time, Twitter added 100 million new accounts.

Thanks to a new round of venture capitalism, which netted Twitter $200 million of fresh funding, the information network is now valued at a whopping $3.7 billion.

That's a lot of money for a company that is still working on generating revenue, let alone profit. Then again, Google struggled for years to rake in the dough, and in hindsight, the search engine titan would have been a steal of a buyout at $3.7 billion.
