The Canadian Digital Media Network is hosting the Road to Banff Venture Forum Pitch Off at its flagship event, Canada 3.0 2011.

This Pitch Off is for early stage startups in the ICT, life sciences, and cleantech sectors. One hundred companies will be selected for the competition, but only three will win. The prize is an all-expenses-paid trip to the Banff Venture Forum. Ten runners up will also receive a prize of various professional services (SRED claims, marketing design, etc.) valued at $1,000 each.

Being a contestant in the Pitch Off includes many benefits, such as full Canada 3.0 conference access, a pitch with video and feedback, networking, seminar sessions, and more. Each participating startup will have 10 minutes to pitch to three judges (angels, VCs, etc.), followed by a 15-minute Q&A and feedback session. The pitches will be judged on the viability of the business model, how compelling the product or service is, the entrepreneur's ability to execute on their plans, and the overall presentation.
