Jordan Banks joins andPOP as Investor and Advisor

Posted by Rob Lewis

According to a press release Jordan Banks, one of Techvibes Digital Media People to Watch in Ontario in 2010, has invested in Toronto-based startup andPOP through Thunder Road Capital and will be serving as an advisor and Member of its Board of Directors.

Not a bad score for andPOP. Before launching Thunder Road Capital, Banks was the CEO of JumpTV, a leading broadcaster of sports and international television over the Internet. And prior to joining JumpTV, he served as the managing director of eBay Canada, the number one online shopping destination in Canada.

andPOP has emerged as one of Canada’s premiere multiplatform sources for pop culture news and interviews, with breaking stories appearing on outlets like Entertainment Tonight Canada, MSNBC and The National Post.

andPOP’s content reaches over one million viewers across North America every month, and most recently can also be heard on XM Radio Canada.
