Nasdaq traded SupportSoft, Inc. announced today that they have acquired Kelowna-based YourTechOnline.com Inc., an award-winning provider of premium technology services.

Founded in 2000, YourTechOnline was one of the first companies in North America to offer remote delivery of tech support services. YourTechOnline's service delivery methodology involves technical support agents who view and control a computer screen remotely. The consumer does not need to take the computer to a repair shop, schedule a technician for an in-home service call, or follow confusing instructions over the phone.

The company's service delivery expertise has been recognized by leading consumer technology industry publications including PC Magazine Editor's Choice award for "Best Online Tech Support".

Congrats to YourTechOnline Founder Steve Wandler who seems to have gotten over the problem of too many Angels in the kitchen. Terms of the all-cash purchase were not disclosed.

More proof it doesn't matter where you are geographically, as long as you have laser focus on the customer, and build great products that they really want. Steve knows that better than anyone I know. Great job to Steve and your team!
