Thinking of going to the 2011 Vortex Video Game Conference and Competition? Well, with the event only six weeks away, you should be aware of a few key dates.

First off, early registration closes December 20th. After this date, January 3rd is the deadline for registering for the boot camp or submitting a game to the competition.

The boot camp takes place on January 19th; this is your opportunity to rub shoulders with industry heavyweights, and to hear from key people at companies like keynote speaker Howard Donaldson, vice president, studio operations for Disney Interactive.

The competition part of the conference runs from February 2nd to March 30th. There are two rounds of competition within these two months, and this year will feature a brand new award, The Audience Choice Award, going to the competition’s most popular game.
