Toronto's Kira Talent has added four important names to its advisory board.
The Canadian startup, which boasts an award-winning video interviewing platform, hopes the addition of these "industry-leading professionals" will help fuel the company's "aggressive global expansion plans."
Kira Talent has added Sandy Buik, Michael Burns, Joe Canavan, and Dr. Aris Zakinthinos to the board. Buik is a talent expert with deep understanding of and speaks regularly on the key issues facing talent leaders in large and mid-cap companies. She's has held senior talent roles with Dell, Pepsi, and more. Burns is president of Thornmark Asset Management and previously held senior and founding roles in Accretive Advisor, Wellington West Holdings, Clearsight Wealth Management, Magna, and launched eDrugstore.ca, Canada’s first online pharmacy.
Canavan has held leading roles in the wealth management industry as CEO of Assante Wealth Management, and president of Synergy Asset Management and Fidelity Investments Canada. He currently serves as the Chairman and CEO of the Children Aids Foundation and as a Board Member for the Next 36: Canada’s Entrepreneur Initiative. Zakinthinos is an award-winning CTO with broad understanding of how to build and scale technology solutions and is currently the CTO at Achievers.

The startup provides a simple video interview screening platform that allows organizations to see applicants through a cloud-based and mobile interface.
