Klout, a startup that has fast become the gold standard for quantifying online social media influence (aka clout), has added a slew of new services.
What started with Twitter gradually expanded to Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube, then Foursquare, with Google+ in the works.
Now it's gone and added a bunch more at once—Tumblr and Blogger on the blog side, Flickr and Instagram on the image side, and even Last.fm.
Using a complex algorithm, Klout measures your influence and engagement levels in different social networks to calculate one final score. It also describes your "Style" of influence among other features.
Flickr and Instagram are the first picture-based networks added to Klout, while Last.fm is the first music-based one, so new metrics will be used here.
Google+ is still on its way.
Connecting a new account will never lower your score.
