Know Your Financial Advisor gives you info on your money manager
Is your financial advisor reputable? Competent? Honest?
A Vancouver start-up wants to tell you if you’ve got a trustworthy advisor or a snake in the grass. Know Your Financial Advisor (KYFA) is a website launching next month to help you find out the difference.
The site, currently in beta, has already listed 80,000 Canadian financial advisors in its database. Currently, all advisor ratings and reviews on the site are being held private, pending individual firm compliance department conversations. Once the site leaves beta, it says users will be able to search, connect, communicate and evaluate thousands of advisors, and gain access to engaging educational content, resources and tools. As well, the site has an “Audition” tool, where users can compare two financial advisors head to head.
While KYFA is still in beta, you can still check out the site here.
