KPMG Web 2.0 PICK 20 Winners Announced

KPMG unveiled their PICK 20 list of Canada’s Web 2.0 pioneers and practitioners in Backbone Magazine on Friday. The list was created to help Backbone magazine subscribers discover who's leading the way into the second iteration of the Web. The PICK 20 Winners are:

Looks like the judges are subscribed to the Techvibes blog - all but #8 and #20 have been written about here over the past year.

Learnhub should be on there.

Why is Cambrian House whom Techvibes mentioned will cease to exist still on the list. Also, SomethingSimpler has yet to launch a product and they're on there. How do they justify the rankings.

Actually, SomethingSimpler has a couple of products. Their Facebook app (pul.se) was pretty slick, last I looked at it.

Not to be nitpicky, but we actually tied for 15th (I know, I know, who TIES for 15th? lol) ;-)

I thought the list was overall fantastic. One thing I loved was the honest feedback that we received as part of this process. So many awards/lists are all fluffy. This one was quite honest, which is good :)

That said, some of the VERY 1.0 players on here had me a little confused too...

@vanguyafo I think they simply missed the boat. The deadline for nominations was actually back in February, and LearnHub did not launch until March. Congrats to all the winners.
