Launch @ GROW Startup Profiles: Vancouver's Mentionmapp
Techvibes is a media sponsor of the upcoming GROW Conference in Vancouver and will be highlighting the 15 Canadian startups that are selected to showcase at the conference's opening reception at Launch @ GROW on August 17th.
Vancouver based Mentionmapp is one of the fifteen startups that has been selected and may be one of four chosen to pitch live on stage at the GROW Conference on August 18th.
Mentionmap provides powerful new ways to understanding the rapidly changing social media network. Starting with Twitter, it displays the unique characteristics of how messages map through the social community. It uses highly visual techniques to help identify trends such as: Who are key opinion leaders? What are they saying? How do their messages change?
The site loads a user's tweets to find the people and hashtags they talked about most. The data is displayed in a visualization called a Constellation Framework — where mentions become connections and discussion between multiple users emerge as clusters. Display a user's network of mentions and details from their profiles by clicking on them. You can also use the search box to find Twitter usernames.
The service targets leadership teams focused on public relations, marketing, and brand management.
