Startup Edmonton, an entrepreneur led nonprofit working to cultivate the emerging local tech startup community, unveiled the ten startups that will be featured at the inaugural edition of Launch Party Edmonton next week on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at the Matrix Hotel.
Taking cues from Vancouver's highly popular events, the innagural Launch Party looks to be a large platform for Edmonton's rapidly emerging tech scene.
“Our city’s future will be fueled by agile, innovative entrepreneurs who produce global reaching products but continue to call Edmonton home,” says Ken Bautista, co-founder of Startup Edmonton. “Launch Party is all about bringing much needed attention to our entrepreneurs and startup community in a fun and creative way.”
Founded in 2009, Startup Edmonton is a grassroots nonprofit organization focused on cultivating the tech start-up community in Edmonton.
“Launch Party Edmonton is modeled after the highly successful Launch Party Vancouver which has grown into the city’s flagship tech/startup event, attracting hundreds each night,” says Cam Linke, one of the co-founders of Startup Edmonton. “Creatives, entrepreneurs, investors, bloggers, consumers - all are welcome to Launch Party Edmonton.”
