How would you like to receive three months of free office space in the heart of Silicon Valley for you and your startup? Would you like to develop connections in the Valley? Get access to angel and venture capital networks? Explore potential partnerships with some of the biggest names in the industry?
If the answer to these questions is “yes,” (and why wouldn’t it?) then you need to apply to win the Canadian Innovation Exchange (CIX) Canadian Technology Accelerator contest. The contest, delivered in partnership with the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Canada and the Consulate General in San Francisco is open to information technology and digital media companies. If your company is in those fields and looking for VC funding in the Bay Area or looking to get established in Silicon Valley or simply set up a local business development office in the area, this contest is for you.
The three winners of this competition will receive free office space alongside 200 other startups from over 20 countries at the Plug and Play Tech Center (PnP) in Sunnyvale, California. PnP has a long history of helping startups thanks to organizers’ connections to investors, mentors and major corporations like Sun, Yahoo, Microsoft, SAP, Nokia, Ebay and Google.
Nominations for the Canadian Technology Accelerator must be submitted by March 11th, and winners will be announced on April 1st. For more info on the contest, or to enter your company, click here.
