Lululemon Founder's Charity Race Runs Video Contest

chip's not dead yetVancouver is known for many things, and I think 2008 has established it as the global capital of video contests. Strutta has launched a handful of contests over the past few months, and most recently memelabs has launched a contest for the "Chip's Not Dead Yet Memorial Mile". Founded by Lululemon founder Chip Wilson, this quirky charity race is using a video contest to solicit theme ideas.

The one-mile uphill race is run in themed waves. Last June, runners busted up West 10th dressed as rockstars, bridesmaids, in their underwear, and more. This time, memelabs and Chip's Not Dead Yet want Vancouver to come up with its own idea for a theme wave. Got an urge to run like a cowboy? To join a swiftly moving team of Elvises? To canter in a herd of centaurs? Pull your camera out, and make it happen! We're holding a video contest—best theme wave idea wins.

If there's two things Westside Vancouverites like, it's jogging and yoga pants.

Invoke Media is handling their entire social media campaign and has them setup on Twitter and Facebook as well. The race runs June 20, 2009.
