Making Money with Digital Media: Mark Bishop from marblemedia

When it comes to producing original online content (and actually turning a buck in the process), there's not many people who know more than Mark Bishop.

In 2001, Mark and his partner Matt Hornburg founded what is, today, one of Canada's most successful production companies - marblemedia.

And they've been racking up the awards ever since.

With a project roster that includes the hugely successful "This Is Daniel Cook," "Skatoony," and "The Adrenaline Project," it's clear that if you want to get in the know about how to successfully produce cross-platform, engaging television and interactive - Mark and Matt are Canada's go-to guys.

I caught up with Mark as he prepared for his big win at this year's Canadian New Media Awards (Producer of the Year, Company of the Year), and asked him for the secret to marble's success. He happily gave up the goods, and filled me in on what Canada needs to be doing to support its own indigenous digital producers. Enjoy!
