Manager, Quality Assurance – AbeBooks.com

As Manager, Quality Assurance you will be responsible for the test analysts, the test lab, the source control system and the build system. You will work closely with the Manager of Software Development and the project managers to ensure that a high quality product is delivered.

You have 5 to 8 years of experience leading successful technical teams through all phases of the software lifecycle. You have a strong understanding of software architecture, including multi-tier and service-oriented architectures.

Requirements:

  • Solid experience managing multifunctional technical organizations.
  • Experience in commercial and online software with a proven track record of consistent and reliable delivery on schedule and in budget.
  • Must be able to manage many concurrent projects and priorities.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and ability to maintain quality expectations in a flexible environment
  • Technical background desired, looking for someone that has successfully crossed the boundary from technical positions into management.
  • Must be operations minded and work well to get the most out of a team.
  • High level knowledge of Java systems and databases desired.
