Speaking of Calgary events, STIRR Canada is hosting their bi-annual, invite-only tech mixer next week, October 15, 2008. STIRR events offer an intimate venue for entrepreneurs, investors and innovators to network with their peers. Headliner Boris Wertz will discuss his previous venture, AbeBooks, and how he led it to acquisition by Amazon (Disclosure: Boris Wertz is a Director of Techvibes Media Inc, but the event isn't his anyhow).
