Memelabs hosts Movember video contest

Vancouver's Memelabs has been enlisted by the Movember Foundation to help raise awareness for the cause by hosting the global Movember video contest.

Movember is an annual, month-long celebration of the moustache, highlighting men’s health issues - specifically prostate and testicular cancer. To date, Movember has raised $47 Million globally making it the world’s largest charity event for men. Significantly, awareness of men’s health issues has improved with Movember helping to spread important health messages directly to millions of Mo Bros & Sistas around the world using multiple outreach methods, now including video contesting and the people that champion public participation.

As part of their Movember efforts, Memelabs is inviting Vancouver to join fellow mo growers tomorrow evening for a "Dip Your Upper Lip" tweet up at The Diamond (corner of Powell & Carrall in Gastown) which will conjure up cocktails and canapes from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. A video team will be on hand to help out those growers who need assistance in sharing their story and to increase donations for their team.

As well, event partner Dermalogica and sponsor of Movember International, will provide “shave-mapping” consultations and mini-treatments. Plenty of inspiration and official Mo’ swag will be circling. And Momositas, the men need your support. Memelabs will also be collecting donations which will go directly to The Movember Foundation following the event.

Interested in attending? RSVP for the Tweet Up here.
