Mesh '09: David Miller, Mayor of Toronto, Uses Twitter

David Miller (above), the Mayor of Toronto, delivered a keynote at Mesh '09 which was much appreciated by the tech audience. For starters, Mayor Miller actively uses Twitter over at @mayormiller, with over 5000 followers, and always writes his own tweets! He talked about how the city of Toronto uses the web and social media to engage with Torontonians - from providing RSS feeds for city news to how the Fire department uses Facebook for recruiting. One thing for Torontonians to look forward to is the upcoming 311 service, which will let them access the city services in a much better way.
