MetroLyrics partners with Winamp

Vancouver's MetroLeap Media is closing off the year with a bang. As part of major update released last week, media player Winamp has integrated a number of online services including MetroLyrics for their complementary music lyrics.

We have worked with a few partners to launch some Winamp customized Online Services (web apps). These new services offer one click access to tour listings, tickets, music downloads and lyrics. Thanks to our partners Tour Tracker, Metrolyrics and 7digital, as you are listening to individual tracks, Winamp will automatically display concert tickets, lyrics and download information. Last but not least there is a new version of MP3 of the Day from Spinner, customized for Winamp.

With Winamp's new lyrics online, 90 Million monthly unique visitors are one click away from MetroLyrics.com. The service also shows a list of all lyrics from your playlist and displays the lyrics for song that is currently playing.

Winamp is a subsidiary of AOL and last April MetroLeap Media announced that they had entered into a strategic relationship with AOL Music.
