Microsoft Canada has recently launched its 3rd annual Blue Sky innovation awards, aimed at ISVs, Developers and Software/Web start-ups.

According to Microsoft Partner Marketing Manager Carmen Xiao:

The objective of this award is to recognize innovations either break with conventional processes or go beyond marginal improvements in existing products. We want to uncover those great new ideas with market potential, and will provide support plan to help them grow.

Microsoft is hoping that these awards will encourage and reward innovations that break conventional processes or go beyond marginal improvements in existing applications. This is a timely and innovative approach to recognition of creativity, so If you're a Canadian software vendor in the process of developing a disruptive application using Microsoft technology, you are encouraged to submit your application today.
