Microsoft launches Internet Explorer 9 beta

IE 9After 9 versions, will they finally have it right?

Thoroughly revamping the browser's every aspect, including heavy focuses on web standards and HTML5, and a slew of new features, Microsoft's long-awaited and desperately needed (if it's good) Internet Explorer 9 is launched in beta form today.

Microsoft has several launch partners including eBay, CNN, Hulu and Amazon, who have all developed sites specially for IE 9's new functionality.

At the very least, IE 9 looks up to date. Now we'll see how it performs.
