Microsoft OneNote App Finally Available To Canadian iPhone Users

onenoteMicrosoft’s well-known to-do and organization app, OneNote, has finally crossed the 49th parallel.  Free for a limited time, it would definitely be worth your while to try it while supplies last.

Much like Evernote, OneNote is a note aggregator, capable of handling anything you throw at it (t text, photos, lists, etc.).  Unlike Evernote however, Microsoft’s OneNote requires access to Windows Live SkyDrive in order to sync with online and desktop versions.  This limitation is not necessarily a bad thing, unless your file sizes tend to go North of 50 MB/file.  However, if you would like to use the service for OneNote support only, I don’t foresee that limitation causing any problems.

Once only available for US iTunes accounts, the app is now being released for Canadians (as well as in Australia, Ireland, UK, and New Zealand).

From what I’ve seen, OneNote is like a more dynamic note taking, list making, rule breaking machine.  It may just force you to dust off that old hotmail.com email address.

For a copy, visit iTunes.
