Android closes in on Blackberry and iPhone

Google's Android OS is on many phones these days, and the popularity of the platform is reaching new heights every day. As RIM's Blackberry product line gradually declines, and Apples remains relatively flat, Android is fast on the rise, passing all other competitors, including Windows Mobile. Its quickly closing the gap on RIM and iPhone, which are basically tied.

Feature phones, quick messaging phones, or dumb phones - whatever you wish to call them, non-smartphones are steadily declining in popularity. And since everybody wants a mobile phone, smartphone popularity is increasing at the same pace.
