Calgary's Mobovivo, a leading provider of video technology to producers, distributors, networks, and film studios, announced today that the company has raised $1 Million to launch its social TV platform internationally.

The funds, raised from an investment syndicate including angel investors and AVAC Ltd., a direct investor in early-stage companies, will be used to launch Mobovivo’s StayTuned platform that includes powerful second screen features.

"Watching TV and movies is going to get a lot more social and interactive in 2012," said Trevor Doerksen, Mobovivo founder and CEO. “Mobovivo’s StayTuned Platform allows our customers to stay tuned to audiences, and fans to tune-in anytime.

The StayTuned platform powers marketing and distribution of TV and film through branded and specialized entertainment apps, which drive audiences to content on mobile devices, in theatres and on broadcast television. StayTuned apps capture an audience’s attention and deliver a rich and connected media experience throughout a film, or TV show’s complete product life cycle.
