Calgary-based MoboVivo announced today that veteran media industry executive Kevin Shea is the new chair of MoboVivo’s board of directors.

Shea is a founder of YTV and, as CEO, led the licensing and start-up of Sirius Satellite Radio. Shea has also served as COO of the Global Television Network, CMO of Rogers, and executive vice-president of Bell Globemedia Inc.

“Kevin’s tremendous contributions to the North American media industry over the last 30 years inspire and inform our company in so many ways,” said MoboVivo founder and CEO, Trevor Doerksen. “As our marketplace accelerates and we add more customers, grow the team and introduce innovative new product offerings, it is the perfect time to strengthen our board of directors by electing Kevin as Chairman.”

Shea has been a member of MoboVivo’s board of directors since 2009 and is also chair of the Ontario Media Development Corporation and current board member of Intertainment Media.
