Montreal Drone Expo to Feature Biggest Drone Racing Event in Canada

FPV MTL is bringing to Montreal its first Drone Expo.

The expo happens on June 25 at the Percival Molson memorial stadium.

Organizers say this will be Canada’s biggest drone racing event to date, with more than 60 pilots from all over canada converging to take part in two high profile races, and a race for the graduates of the very first session of the Canadian Drone Academy.

Pilots will be competing for the chance to be the Canadian qualifiers for the Drone Nationals World Drone Racing Championships and the IDRA North American Cup.

As a family event, there will be interactive activities with a Family Zone for children 8 and up.

“We have teamed up with Teeny Drone to create a fun area where kids can learn the basics of how drones work and flying drones with safety in mind,” organizers say. Teeny Drones will be providing easy-to-fly, safe and fun little drones for kids to get introduced to this hobby.

The Montreal drone expo is free for a limited amount of tickets, after which the cost will be between $5 to $10.
