farmvilleA 22-year-old mother, Alexandra Tobias, shook her baby to death in Jacksonville, Florida, after growing irritated that the baby's constant crying was interrupting her Facebook gaming.

According to the reports, the mother had admitted to her guilt. SHe said that because her baby was crying while she was playing Farmville, she shook the infant, then smoked a cigarette, then shook the infant a second time. She also said that that the infant "may" have hit his head during the shaking.

Obviously, this is a very rare case, but not one to be dismissed or brushed under the rug. Internet addiction is real, and it can make the outside world seem like the enemy. Unfortunately, this time it was taken to an extreme.
