September 25th is Canada's National Digital Media Day...

An annual day to raise the profile of the digital media industry and celebrate the dynamic work taking place in this sector. In Canada, a massive cross-country event that will include gatherings, lobbying, education and celebrations. In other countries, linked in celebrations and demo camps.

In Vancouver, New Media BC is holding it's AGM that day (10th anniversary!), then running a mixer afterwards with a screening of short films from PolitubeDemoCamp Calgary 10 is happening with Digital Alberta holding a mixer beforehand. BarCamp Saskatoon 2008 is happening in conjunction as well. BarCamp Vancouver happens the weekend after on September 27.

There's more on the National Digital Media Day site's events listing, though many of them are still marked as "TBD". Please fill us in if there's a NDMD event happening in your area.

The Vancouver Blogger Meetup will be taking place that day and I will be travelling across the Lower Mainland and liveblogging from various locations.
