Netflix Canada Gains Exclusive Subscription Deal With Paramount Movies

It is no secret that Canadian Netflix subscribers have to deal with far less Netflix content than our neighbours to the south.  However, a new deal struck between Netflix and Paramount Movies should go a long ways towards alleviating this plight of ours.

In a statement released today (03/28/11), Netflix Canada will be gaining more than 350 new Paramount titles, ready for your streaming pleasure.  While a few have found their way onto your account recently (Iron Man 2, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), expect much more over the next little while.

While some of us have been worrying about the future of Netflix in our country, this is a major boon.  Along with their plans to pursue original programming, and a deal with Miramax in the works, the future of Netflix is getting a little brighter day by day.
