Well that was qwik.

Faster than you can say "HP TouchPad," Netflix has killed Qwikster before it even launched.

When first announced, the move was met with intense criticism from both consumers and media. CEO Reed Hastings said he "messed up" by abruptly jacking up the price of his company's services and offered Qwikster as a solution—but that was an even worse mess-up. A simple service was being made needlessly complex, pundits declared loudly, with one analyst (Michael Prachter) describing the tactic as one of the "dumbest" decisions he has ever seen a company make.

"Consumers value the simplicity Netflix has always offered and we respect that," Reed has now stated. "There is a difference between moving quickly and moving too fast, which is what we did in this case."
