Nettwerk Music's Terry McBride joins Canpages’ Board

Canpages announced today that Terry McBride, CEO of Nettwerk Music Group, has joined the Canpages Board of Directors.

McBride is the CEO and founder of the Nettwerk Music Group, the umbrella company for Nettwerk Management and Nettwerk Records, as well as Nettwerk One, Nutone, and Artwerk. Over the years Nettwerk Management has helped develop the careers of Avril Lavigne, Barenaked Ladies, Coldplay, Dido, Jars of Clay, Jamiroquai, Katherine Jenkins, Sarah McLachlan, Stereophonics and Sum 41.

McBride founded Nettwerk in his apartment in 1984. As part of his musical endeavours, he has released over 500 different albums, sold over 150 million albums worldwide and was a founding member of the Lilith Fair tour. In 2003, he was recognized with a Juno award for his outstanding achievements in the Canadian music industry.

Most recently McBride's entrepreneurial spirit has been focused on yoga with the launch of a chain of wellness centers called YYoga.

This Board announcement comes hot on the heals of yesterday's announcement of a partnership with Utah-based PDC, which will allow Canpages to expand its digital presence, products and services into the US market under the Ziplocal brand.
