Montreal start-up Tungle has just released a plug-in for Outlook that allows users to share their availability with co-workers. The product is targeted at larger companies where it is sometimes difficult to coordinate and come to an agreement on meeting times without sending countless emails. Besides Outlook, users can also sign onto a "Tungle space," which is a temporary web site designed to act as a central hub for meeting coordination. Google Calendar. Thunderbird, Lotus and iCal calendars are also supported. Tungle is a peer-to-peer app, meaning it doesn't need servers, can work through firewalls and is easily scalable.
