nextMEDIA assembles Digital Hot List

by Rob Lewis

nextMEDIA Banff organizers have finished their nationwide hunt to find the hottest emerging digital properties across Canada and have annouced the five brands for nextMEDIA's "Digital Hot List". Next week one of these sites will be named the Hottest Canadian Emerging Digital Brand:

The competition was open to content portals, social media groups, websites, newsletters, blogs or any digital media property that can demonstrate a loyal and growing fan base that provides a tantalizing vehicle for advertisers.

Some of Canada’s leading advertisers reviewed Digital Hot List applicants by looking closely at a number of criteria – number of members and unique users, growth of user base, level of audience engagement, ability to commercialize the audience, co-branding potential and a viable growth strategy.

The five finalists receive half price passes to nextMEDIA Banff where they will have face-to-face time with advertisers actively looking for partners, as well as extensive promotional opportunities with nextMEDIA and the recognition as one of Canada’s hottest digital properties.
