nextMEDIA - The Future of Digital Content

nexmedia Taking place this weekend in beautiful Banff, Alberta is nextMEDIA, an event for content producers, media executives, and digital entrepreneurs. At last year's nextMEDIA, over "$13 million in new deals were negotiated." As you can see from the list of speakers, there are a lot of heavy hitters at this event, including Maria Hale from Telus, Steve Billinger from CBC/Radio-Canada, and Joseph Ferreira from CBS Interactive.

If you spend a lot of time online like I do, you'll probably find this list of speakers more familiar: Kris Krug from Raincity Studios, Markus Frind from Plentyoffish, Jim Louderback from Revision3, Boris Wertz from Nexopia, Jeremy Wright from b5media, and Jeff Barr from Amazon.com.

The event kicks off on Friday afternoon at the Fairmont Banff Springs. Saturday and Sunday are absolutely packed with keynotes and other sessions, and I look forward to bringing you the best of it here at Techvibes. I'll be there for the entire weekend, covering the event.

Check out the website, follow me on Twitter (for micro updates), and keep checking back here at Techvibes this weekend for updates from nextMEDIA 2008.

Great promotion, Mack. If you could hashtag your twitter stuff with #nm08, it will show up in the aggregation tool we threw together: http://sifttool.com/channel/nm08. There's also a phone number where people without twitter can send messages.

Hi Boris - I'll be sure to hashtag #nm08, and I'll tag posts and photos and videos (got a new Flip!) with nm08 too. Cool aggregator.
