Nokia Lumia 800 and Samsung Galaxy Note Coming Soon to Telus
The Lumia 800, one of the new smartphones collaborated on by Nokia and Microsoft, will be available exclusively from Telus. It is touted by Nokia CEO Stephen Elop as “the first real Windows Phone."
The device has a 3.7-inch Amoled screen and a 1.4Ghz processor but only 512MB of RAM. It has the standard 16GB of internal storage and an 8MP camera. It runs Microsoft's newest mobile operating platform, Windows Phone Mango. The Lumia 800's Canadian price tag and release date have not been revealed. It will be available in black as well as cyan and magenta.
“I am extremely excited to introduce the Nokia Lumia family of smartphones to Canada," said Richard White, General Manager for Nokia Canada.
Also coming to Telus soon—likely February, according to inside sources—is the Samsung Galaxy Note, an Android smartphone that's almost a tablet with its massive 5.3-inch screen. The Note brings back the stylus pen from the grave. This device is LTE-compatible.
