Northern Cleantech Showcase shows off Vancouver's best in Silicon Valley

Later this month seven BC clean technology will have a unique opportunity to present to Silicon Valley investors at a special invitation-only event.

Kachan & Co. has partnered with Deloitte, Gowlings and Greentech Exchange Vancouver to present seven jury-selected Vancouver area clean technology companies at the Northern Cleantech Showcase pitch event for leading cleantech investors in Silicon Valley on April 14th.

 From dozens of applicants, a selection committee including investors GreenAngel Energy, Ventures West and Yaletown Venture Partners chose these seven companies to present.

  • Awesense Wireless: Wireless sensor system for improved electrical grid efficiency & theft reduction
  • Tekion: Fuel cell company eyeing $400 million in revenue from partner

Applications were evaluated for companies' fundability potential against criteria such as innovation, market opportunity and ability to execute. The invitation-only showcase will be held at the Garden Court Hotel in Palo Alto, Thursday, April 14th.
