Historically, Research In Motion has held its annual presentation to financial analysts during its BlackBerry World conference each May. This year, however, RIM has decided to delay the meeting several months.
The Waterloo-based company says that it will hold off on presenting to analysts until BlackBerry 10, its next-gen platform, is launched. We know by now that this is expected to happen sometime in the third-quarter of the year, but RIM did not offer a date or location for the meeting.
"We decided to make BlackBerry World more focused on customers, developers and partners," RIM spokeswoman Tenille Kennedy told Reuters. "We will hold a separate session targeted at the interests of the investment community later this year, once BlackBerry 10 is launched."
