This Winter, Olympic gold medalists Ashleigh McIvor and Maëlle Ricker are partnering with Tourism British Columbia to challenge North Americans to an online competition.

To launch the contest, Ashleigh and Maëlle have  released videos of themselves challenging winter sport enthusiasts to a video and a photo competition on IBeatYou. The gold medalists challenge users to see either how fast they are or how creative they can be, awarding winners with tech toys and the opportunity to train with the athletes in person.

“A lot of the best winter sport athletes in the world grew up competing on British Columbia’s world-class mountains and we look forward to awarding someone with the opportunity to experience what it’s like to ski and snowboard some of the best terrain on earth,” said Maëlle, the Vancouver 2010 Snowboard Cross gold medalist.

“Maëlle and I are challenging everyone to see if they can beat us online at IBeatYou.com/BCSki,” said Ashleigh, Ski Cross gold medalist. ”We’ll also put the winners of the BCSkiGames contest through their paces when they come to train with us in B.C.”
