On January 24th, it's all about user experience

It might seem strange that we at Techvibes, a technology blog, would promote a seminar that encourages attendees to forget about technology. But, as the organizers at Follow The UX Leader remind us, sometimes we focus too much on the technology itself to the detriment of its users.

That’s why user experience is the focus at the next Follow The UX Leader workshop on January 24th at Ottawa’s Courtyard Restaurant (21 George St). Called “People Before Pixels,” the day-long workshop will get you thinking about creating websites for a global audience — using personas, paper prototyping, wireframing, remote user testing and best practices for user experience will be covered.

The event promises to be hands-on and interactive, working in small groups and with an instructor. People Before Pixels, like all Follow the UX Leader events, is “no laptops required;” after all, this is about thinking about steps for website construction before you even get to the technology.

People Before Pixels takes place on January 24th at The Courtyard Restaurant, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. A continental breakfast and three-course lunch will be provided. For more information, or to register, click here.
