Ontario’s Innovation Economy

TVO conducted a live broadcast of The Agenda from Waterloo this past Tuesday, which took a look at Ontario’s innovation economy. The episode examined the impact of the high tech industry on Ontario and the issues facing the industry, government and the community. It also examines the culture of innovation that currently exists in the province and whether or not it will be enough for Ontario to remain competitive on a global level.

Guests on the shows panel included John Wilkinson, Minister of Research and Innovation, Richard Florida, author of Ontario in the Creative Age, Jim Balsillie, CEO of Research in Motion, and Sheila Block from the Ontario Federation of Labour.
