Open Text Chairman Tom Jenkins Inducted to Order of Canada

Open Text Chairman Tom Jenkins was inducted into the Order of Canada last week. Tom has been closely involved with many projects in the area over the past several years.

A decade ago, Tom co-founded Communitech, a startup hub. More recently, Tom and a panel of experts examined options to improve federal innovation grants. And he is currently chairman of the Canadian Digital Media Network advisory council.

Tom, his advocates say, is commited to his company, his community, and his country. Other inductees include billionaire philanthropist Seymour Schulich, and Jean Chrétien's daughter, businesswoman France Desmarais, as well as architect Bruce Kuwabara and newspaper columnist Alain Dubuc.
