Open Text goes on hiring spree

In early November, Techvibes reported that Waterloo's Open Text Corp. planned to cut about 10 per cent of its workforce (360 of their 3,600 employees) to eliminate redundancies and prepare for a potential economic slowdown. Sounds like their plans may have changed.

Open Text is holding a job fair at the company's headquarters in Waterloo today and is urgently trying to hire for about 200 jobs within its business, finance, software development and other departments in the company. We've also seen an increase in their job postings on the Techvibes Job Board with dozens of opportunities posted over the past couple weeks.
