OBJ iPhone app

There's now an app for Ottawa's business community newspaper.

The Ottawa Business Journal released its own iPhone app yesterday, providing mobile access to many OBJ features not available in the free print edition.

The app gives mobile users access to the site's blogs, updates, the ability to vote in polls, videos as well as Twitter and Facebook integration to easily share content.

The app was developed by Purple Forge, a mobile application company with offices in Ottawa and Ogdensburg, New York, specializing in the creation of mobile subscription applications.

It is interesting to note that the OBJ app release comes hot on the heels of the immenent release of Apple's iPad tablet, which will run iPhone apps on a bigger screen which many anticipate will provide a richer mobile reading experience.

The Ottawa Business Journal iPhone app is a free download from iTunes.
