Fall seems to be venture forum season, notably with DEMOfall and Techcrunch 50 running right now. Here's one happening in Eastern Canada in about a month: the Ottawa Technology and Venture Summit, taking place October 7-9 at the Chateau Laurier Hotel. The first day will kick off with a golf tournament. Stephen Poloz, Senior VP and Chief Economist for Export Development Canada, will present a lunch keynote on the second day. 10 presenting companies, all Ottawa based, are signed up and company selection is closed. 15 investment firms are already signed up and there's still room for more investors or service providers.
