Big news out of Calgary. Patrick Lor of iStockphoto fame has joined microstock photo competitor Fotolia as their President of North American Operations. Calgary born iStockphoto was purchased by Getty Images in 2006 for $50 Million.
It looks like Lor's non-compete contract recently expired with Getty Images and he's been itching to get back into the stock photography business. According to Compete.com stats, Fotolia has plenty of potential for growth as it chases down iStockphoto and Lor appears ready for the challenge.
