Veteran journalist Paul Sullivan of Orato.com presented The Rise and Impact of Citizen Journalism on Traditional Media and ironically opens his talk by mentioning his inclusion on Vancouver's 20 Most-visible Individuals on the Web - a list created by competitor Now Public. While Sullivan was #18 on the list, he feels Now Public is simply trying to get free publicity by creating such a potentially viral list.
