Vancouver's PeerFX announced the launch of a new affinity program with the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce (MCC) today that will see MCC members receive an additional 10% discount on currency exchange services.
PeerFX is an online peer-to-peer currency exchange that brings people together to exchange with each other and cuts out unnecessary fees in the process.
In the case of the MCC, PeerFX's specialization in cross-border business-to-business payments sealed the deal for the partnership.
"We are excited to enter into this partnership with PeerFX as we believe it is the first of its kind in Canada and we see a lot of potential value for our members with cross-border businesses" explained Graham Starmer, MCC President. "The fact that we are using cutting-edge technology and an inter-provincial partnership to help our members save money as they forge their own linkages abroad is nice too!"
PeerFX is based on a peer-to-peer currency exchange model matching currency exchangers up with others. It is a low overhead process that enables small-to-medium sized businesses and individuals to save up to 80% in transaction fees compared to leading banks.
Another smart move by PeerFX. Marketing access to large member-based organizations like the Manitoba Chamber are key to keeping customer acquisition costs low. PeerFX struck a similar deal with the BCTIA in the Fall.
