Polar Mobile gives WWF new way to connect with supporters

Toronto’s Polar Mobile is helping the World Wildlife Federation keep their supporters informed with a new mobile app.

The app, for BlackBerry, Android, iPhone and Windows, gives users updates on the latest WWF-Canada news, from conservation successes, stories and videos to details on upcoming events in Canada and around the world. The app will include important WWF-related news feeds such as media releases, blog posts and the WWF Twitter feed.

“This is an exciting and important step for us, that gives us access to new audiences in a new way, and one which we expect to become more and more important as mobile technology progresses,” said Christina Topp, vice president marketing and communications with WWF.  “We are thrilled to be working with Polar Mobile in helping WWF-Canada connect with supporters.”

This app represents Polar Mobile’s first collaboration with a non-profit organization, after working with over 30 private sector companies to develop mobile applications — including the Techvibes application for BlackBerry.
