Portland Web Innovators: The Future of the Mobile Web

Posted by Rick Turoczy on Tue, February 12, 2008 10:35 AM · Filed under Mobile , Portland , Events · No Comments

Has the Apple iPhone forever changed the way we think about the Web?

On February 13, Portland Web Innovators will kick off its first gathering for 2008 by trying to answer that question---and a number of others.

And you're invited. Join the group Wednesday evening at Nemo Design for an exploration of the future of the Mobile Web with Jason Grigsby of Cloud Four.

Like Mosaic heralded the arrival of the web, the iPhone is a harbinger of a coming mobile tsunami. We'll discuss the upcoming wave, the parallels to 1993 and 1994, challenges developing for a fractured client base, and how to start preparing for the mobile web.

Portland Web Innovators holds monthly gatherings, focused on a particular topic of interest to start-ups in the Portland area. For more information on the group, visit Portland Web Innovators. To RSVP for the February event, visit Upcoming.
