Sebastien Provencher of Praized Media announced today that they've inked strategic partnerships with a couple local search providers that will allow them to pre-load their platform with 17 million North American listings for their Summer 2008 launch. In the US, Praized has formed partnerships with business directory provider, Yellowbook, the nation's largest independent publisher of print and online yellow pages, and Localeze, the largest online content manager serving local search engine publishers. In Canada, Praized has partnered with Yellow Pages Group.

Praized Media is a startup working on a web-based application that will enable you to find and discover local places and merchants with help from people you can trust. Praised aims to be the first distributed local search platform designed for bloggers and social media publishers.

Founded by a team of local search technology veterans and social media experts, Praized is based in Montreal and received $1 Million in seed funding from Garage Technology Ventures Canada in September 2007.
